One of the resilient youths Nusrat Tani is working on climate challenges in Chittagong. Under the Eco Savior Project, she tried to address and reduce the impact of climate change on the environment in Chittagong city. She tried to intervene to solve the alarming issues of Chattogram city’s Sewerage, Waste management, and environmental tension. The governance of drainage systems does not belong to any particular authority. So Tani took the first step with the motto – “LEAD BETTER CLIMATE” to mark happiness for the children who would be benefited through the solar fan we are about to make from scratch and install. Since many schools teach little schoolers how to protect our nature, we’d like to pay attention to the main risk factors that negatively affect the environment and the active engagement with appropriate education of children in order to make them realize that we must protect our nature.
Since solar energy systems need not have electronic supply, Nusrat Tani along with her team has provided 3 solar fans at Laila Karim Primary School, CRB, Chattogram, under the Project of “SOLAR SCHOOL: CLIMATE ACTION FROM GENERATION Z”, an initiative taken by ‘Save Eco Saviour’ in collaboration with ‘Volunteer For Bangladesh Chattogram District’. The program was held at 10:00 AM on November 20, 2021. They believe this has made our children more focused on their respective responsibilities to the environment by increasing their dependence on solar energy. The event “Solar School” was divided into two parts: the solar fan installation, and the climate action workshop for the school students. After the installation of solar fans, they have conducted awareness workshops on the effects of climate change in front of around 50 students of the school. After this workshop, the students have got guidelines on what to look for and how to maintain the accessories.
