Save Youth Core Workshop- Barishal University
Registration for SAVE Youth CORE WORKSHOP, 16-17 February 2024
SAVE Youth is a youth platform led by university students to promote peace, tolerance, and respect for diversity- the ultimate means of peace in society. SAVE Youth intends to reach out to students and youth at different institutions aiming to promote the urge to say “NO” to all forms of violence and abuse, as well as to change the social beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that promote tolerance and diversity. SAVE Youth facilitates students to exercise leadership, creativity, and passion for peace and diversity in the society.
SAVE Youth Bangladesh is going to organize two day-long CORE workshops at the Barishal University on 16-17 February (09.00 am – 5.00 pm).
Participation benefits:
1. The participants will be eligible to apply for Youth Fellowships, Internships, Research Facilities, Participation in Youth-Led activities, Summits, National Dialogues, etc.
2. Participants will become members of the SAVE Youth Network.
3. Participants will be awarded with a certificate of participation.
4. Food and workshop logistics will be provided.
Those who haven’t done the CORE Workshop of SAVE Youth before are cordially invited to participate here. Selected participants will be contacted through mail and phone.

SAVE Youth Bangladesh is a non-political and non-profit youth initiative that works to promote peace, tolerance, and diversity among young people in Bangladesh. They achieve this through various activities like workshops, seminars, and competitions. SAVE also runs a traineeship program that equips young people with valuable work experience.

University of Barishal (Bengali: বরিশাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, Boriśhāl Biśbôbidyālôẏ; also known as Barishal University or simply BU) is a public university located in Barishal, a divisional city in southern Bangladesh.[3] It is the country’s 33rd public university.
The university was established in 2011 and began academic activities at undergraduate level in six departments under four faculties on 24 January 2012. The university currently offers degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The university houses twenty-five academic departments under six faculties, where eighteen departments are currently providing postgraduate degrees. Every year almost 1400 students are admitted to undergraduate programs in the university. The university started its academic activities in the temporary campus at Barishal Zilla School and then shifted to its permanent campus. The permanent suburban campus of 50 acres of the university is located in Barisal Sadar Upazila beside Dhaka-Patuakhali Highway on the bank of Kirtankhola river.
