The Microgovernance Research (MGR) initiative has established an extensive network across Bangladesh, promoting democratic engagement and youth involvement through three key programs: Youth Democracy Club (YDC), SAVE Youth Chapters, and Democracy – From Theory to Practice.
The Youth Democracy Club, represented by 183 blue dots, is the most widespread program. It operates in both urban and rural areas, serving as hubs where young people learn and practice democratic principles, fostering active citizenship.
The SAVE Youth Chapters, marked by 17 orange dots, focus on social advocacy and volunteer efforts. These chapters are strategically located to complement the YDC presence, enhancing community-driven initiatives.
Democracy – From Theory to Practice, highlighted by 4 red dots, bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application of democratic principles. This program offers workshops and simulations to equip participants with essential civic engagement and leadership skills.
Overall, the map shows MGR’s commitment to a geographically diverse and inclusive approach, ensuring access to democratic education and resources for youth across Bangladesh. Through these initiatives, MGR is empowering the next generation to actively participate in shaping their communities and the nation’s future.
