SAVE Youth Bangladesh has captured significant media attention with mentions in twelve different newspapers, both online and offline in May 2024. The month has been a whirlwind of impactful activities and events organized by these dynamic young leaders, showcasing their commitment to leadership, civic engagement, and social causes. One of the standout events was the Youth Leadership and Civic Engagement workshop held at Pabna University of Science and Technology and Jahangirnagar University. With the participation of 84 enthusiastic SAVE Youth Civic Leaders, the workshop aimed to equip young minds with the skills necessary to drive positive change in their communities.
Creativity and advocacy merged beautifully at Comilla University, where SAVE Youth leaders organized an inspiring art exhibition. The exhibition featured powerful artworks on themes of democracy, human rights, climate and environment, women’s rights, peace, and tolerance, drawing admiration from attendees and highlighting critical global issues through the lens of young artists. Human rights took center stage at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, where SAVE Youth leaders conducted an insightful seminar. The event fostered deep discussions on the importance of human rights, emphasizing the role of youth in promoting and protecting these fundamental principles. In a heartfelt gesture on International Workers’ Day, SAVE Youth leaders at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University honored the contributions of workers. The initiative was a touching display of gratitude and respect, reinforcing the organization’s dedication to social justice and worker’s rights.
Addressing the urgent issue of animal welfare during extreme heat, SAVE Youth leaders from Comilla University arranged food and water for animals. This compassionate act underscored the organization’s commitment to all forms of life and their proactive approach to environmental challenges. May also saw the formation of executive committees for the SAVE Youth chapters at Chittagong University and the Seven Colleges Affiliated with Dhaka University. These new committees are poised to steer the organization towards further achievements, as reported by various national and local newspapers.
