In the pursuit of nurturing young minds towards building a more inclusive and democratic society, the SAVE Youth CORE Workshops, supported by the USAID Nagorik Project, recently held a two-day event at Rajshahi University on January 19-20, 2024. This pivotal gathering brought together 67 young leaders, providing them with a platform to engage in profound discussions on vital subjects such as peace, tolerance, diversity, leadership, and democratic values.
The success of this event can be attributed to the collective efforts of numerous dedicated individuals and institutions. Among them, special recognition goes to Lasanthi Daskon, Deputy Country Director of IFES Bangladesh, and Aynul Islam, National Moderator of SAVE Youth Bangladesh, for their invaluable contributions. Their expertise and guidance played a crucial role in steering the conversations towards meaningful outcomes.
Further appreciation is extended to the faculties of Rajshahi University and Dhaka University, with special mention of Mahmudur Rahman, Mahmudul Haque Tutul, and Rubel Molla. Their cooperation and support were instrumental in creating an environment conducive to learning and dialogue.
The workshop sessions were expertly guided by Md. Abdullah-Al-Sayed and Gazi Raushan Habib Anika, who served as Master Trainers for SAVE Youth. Their expertise and approach in facilitating these sessions were crucial to the overall effectiveness and impact of the workshops.
This workshop is a testament to the power of collaborative initiatives in shaping future leaders. The insights and experiences shared during these sessions have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on all participants. As we look forward to more such collaborative endeavors, it remains clear that the journey of fostering young leaders is pivotal for the sustainable development of democratic societies.
