The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director visited Dhaka University for a dynamic exchange on youth leadership and civic engagement. The event, which fostered a space for collaboration, saw the participation of 55 students and faculty members alongside the USAID Mission Director, IFES Country Director, DHRG Director of USAID, and other esteemed guests.
During the session, students presented 10 inspiring action plans focused on youth leadership and civic engagement. These projects showcased the dedication and innovative spirit of Dhaka University’s student body in tackling community challenges. Shehreen Amin Monami and Shiblee Noman, colleagues leading the initiative, delivered a comprehensive 1.5-hour session that included interactive activities like jigsaw exercises. This engaging approach facilitated discussions and fostered a collaborative environment for students and faculty to exchange ideas and experiences.
The event underscores USAID’s commitment to empowering Bangladeshi youth and supporting their initiatives in driving positive change. The exchange of knowledge and perspectives between the Mission Director, faculty, and students paves the way for future collaboration and the development of impactful projects that benefit the community.
